CIS Summer Chess Camps
|
Summer chess programs offer kids a great chance to learn and play or to improve their game. This summer, Chess-in-the-Schools is offering programs in schools and community-based organization sites, helping to provide a safe, fun, and educational activity for kids around the city. Chess-in-the-Schools is also providing a chess program at Camp Ramapo Anchorage in Rhinebeck, New York - a summer camp for disadvantaged New York City children with special needs. More than 600 children learn chess there each summer.
ALL CIS SUMMER CAMPS HAVE REACHED CAPACITY AND CIS SUMMER CHESS CAMP REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.
Please note that CIS students were given priority for registration in all of our summer camps. FDA camp had no restrictions for non cis students.
Acceptance Policy:
Applicants need to be students aged from 7 years and up to participate in the summer chess camps.
All campers must commit to the full four weeks and for the full day each day of the camp to be eligible.
All non-cis students will be put on a waiting list for our camps.
Chess-in-the-Schools will be running 4 week summer chess camps starting July 8, 2013 at the following schools: FDA, PS124m, ESCHS, PS 503k, and PS226x. Please check the summer camp chart below to find details about each of these camps, including camp fliers.
All students must register for their desired camp by filling out our on-line registration form, and filling out our summer camp application/waiver and faxing it back to our office at 212-564-5523.
