College Bound

College Bound

College Bound targets New York City high schools students from low-income neighborhoods to graduate from high school on time and prepare for college.

The College Bound program empowers New York City youth to continue their education beyond high school, become productive citizens, and give back to society by providing comprehensive college preparatory services and chess instruction in a safe and engaging environment.

Throughout each school year and summer, various activities, services, and instruction are provided to the participating New York City high school students to address each of these components. The participating students atte
nd high schools throughout New York City and travel to the Chess in the Schools offices in midtown Manhattan after school for the program.
